What’s happening in NYC real estate? November 2019

It’s the most wonderful time of the year, especially in New York City! There is no better place to experience the holidays. Are you ready for cold weather, spirits, and celebration?

November seemed to never end, which worked out well because we needed every minute. Experienced renters noticed the lower winter prices and are looking to take advantage of the seasonal dip. More commercial sales & lease opportunities are keeping me busy, and require a lot of diligence. An offer even came in on Thanksgiving Day!

There was an definitely an uptick in residential sales activity this month. Properly priced apartments are moving. New buyers are considering a purchase as they plan for 2020. It is a really good time to be a buyer in the market, especially for 2-bedroom apartments according to a well-written article this month in the NY Times.

Facebook made big news leasing 1.5 million square feet of office space at Hudson Yards. There is a real tech expansion taking place in NYC and this was a monumental deal.

The Spotlight this month is on our annual Thanksgiving Potluck at ARGO where I brought my famous pumpkin bar dessert. It is a really fun tradition that we all enjoy!
