My Values
How I Work With Buyers, Sellers and Renters in Manhattan
Buying or selling a home in Manhattan is one of the largest financial decisions most people ever make, and the co-op and condo process here is unlike anywhere else. After a decade in New York City real estate, I have found that the outcome depends as much on who represents you as on the market itself. These five values guide how I work with every client, whether you are buying your first co-op, selling a condo, or renting your first apartment in the city.
Integrity
The foundation everything else rests on.
Integrity is what makes every other value possible. It means giving you the same advice I would give my own family, even when it is not the easiest thing to hear: an asking price that is out of step with recent sales, a building whose finances deserve a closer look, or a deal that is better to walk away from. In a market that runs on trust, from co-op boards to sellers weighing competing offers, a reputation for integrity also helps get deals done.
“I’ve worked with other brokers in NYC, and many of them felt more focused on making a sale than truly helping. Eric is different.”
Amy S. — Renter, Gramercy
Loyalty
Your goals come first, from the first conversation to the closing table.
When you work with me, I represent your interests. For buyers, that means finding the right home at the right price, not simply the fastest deal. For sellers, it means pricing, marketing and negotiating for the best possible result on your timeline. And it does not end at closing. Many of my clients come back years later to rent, buy or sell again, and I stay in touch long after the keys change hands.
“I have worked with Eric twice — the first time when I rented my first solo apartment and again when I bought my first place in NYC.”
Emma — Renter & First-Time Buyer
Respect
For everyone involved, from the co-op board to the superintendent.
A Manhattan transaction involves far more people than a buyer and a seller: co-op and condo boards, managing agents, attorneys, lenders, supers, doormen and the agent on the other side. How each of them is treated matters. Respect keeps negotiations productive, helps board packages and move-ins go smoothly, and reflects well on my clients, which counts in a city where buildings choose their buyers as much as buyers choose their buildings.
“He kept in contact with all the people involved in the transaction including the Coop management company and Coop board until the closing.”
Patricia B. — Seller, West Village
Dependable
There at every step, and I follow through on what I say.
New York real estate moves quickly, and the right apartment or the right buyer rarely waits. Being dependable means being reachable, responding promptly, showing up prepared and keeping every part of the process moving, from the first showing to the board interview, the final walkthrough and the closing. You should never have to wonder where things stand.
“Prompt, reliable, honest, and super easy to work with. You can always count on him to follow through.”
Hunter K. — Client
Honesty & Accountability
Straight answers, clear numbers and full ownership of my work.
Honesty means telling you what I actually see in the market, what a property is realistically worth, and what buying or selling will cost before any of it comes as a surprise. It is why I built closing cost calculators for buyers and sellers: you deserve to see the numbers clearly from the start. Accountability means owning my part of the process and its results, every time.
“Eric is up-front and courteous, present and diligent, and naturally good at this.”
W.B. — Seller, Chelsea Co-op
