At the center of the news was Amazon canceling their plans for HQ2 in Long Island City. A dream that never came true, especially for real estate developers. There was a shakeup at Zillow with the CEO position being passed from Spencer Rascoff to Richard Barton. On a positive note, broker confidence increased this month for the first time since 2017!
The spotlight this month is on Hudson Yards, the largest development in North America. It is transforming the west side and New York Magazine published an expose on the project.
